OUR SERVICES

  • MAT combines therapeutic medicines (by prescription) with psychotherapy, emphasizing the therapeutic experience as the core of healing, aided by the medicines. Each medicine catalyzes therapeutic opening, which continues through MAT integration. We provide MAT with Ketamine, MDMA, or Psilocybin, according to each client’s needs.

MAT treatment ranges from 9-45 therapeutic hours, based on the medicine used, the condition treated, and individual needs that arise throughout therapy. All treatments cost $300 per therapist treatment hour (Private Pay). This does not include the cost of the prescription medicines, which are billed separately.

MAT is not insured under the BC Medical Services Plan.

  • The Health Canada Special Access Program (SAP) helps doctors and their patients get access to certain drugs that are not yet approved for sale in Canada. These drugs can be used to treat serious or life-threatening conditions when other treatments have not worked, are not suitable, or are unavailable.

    LEARN MORE

  • Our Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration Services are designed to support individuals who are exploring psychedelic medicines independently or who have completed Medicine-Assisted Therapy (MAT) with us and seek additional integration. Whether you’re preparing for a personal psychedelic experience, processing insights afterward, or both, we offer a safe, non-judgmental space to guide you through your journey, based on our value of Harm Reduction.

Preparation sessions help you set intentions, build resilience, and create a solid framework for your experience. Integration sessions focus on making sense of what emerged, fostering self-understanding, and applying insights in meaningful ways to your daily life. For our MAT clients, this service offers extended support beyond the hours of their protocol, ensuring continued growth and alignment with their therapeutic goals.

Our experienced therapists offer personalized, trauma-informed care to help you navigate the complexities of psychedelic experiences, grounding them in lasting transformation.

THE MEDICINES

THE MEDICINES THE MEDICINES

KETAMINE

  • Ketamine is our most accessible medicine for a range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress, substance and other addiction recovery, chronic pain, burnout, and moral injury. First developed as a fast-acting dissociative anesthetic with a strong safety profile, ketamine was later discovered to have unique antidepressant properties and other mental health benefits. Ketamine can create a state of expanded awareness, helping clients access and process deeply held emotions and patterns.

MDMA

  • MDMA, often referred to as a "heart-opener," is a psychoactive compound known for its ability to enhance feelings of trust, safety, and connection. Of all three medicines, MDMA has the strongest evidence in the context of MAT for treating post-traumatic stress by facilitating deep emotional processing in a safe and supportive environment. MDMA helps individuals confront and integrate traumatic memories without being overwhelmed, promoting healing and recovery. MDMA is not yet an approved medicine in Canada, and is therefore only available through Health Canada’s Special Access Program for people with treatment-resistant post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It has been studied with promising early data for other conditions including end of life distress, social anxiety for individuals with autism, and alcohol use disorder, however is currently not accessible as a medicine for these conditions.

PSILOCYBIN

  • Psilocybin is a naturally occurring compound found in certain species of mushrooms. In doses used in MAT, it is known for producing powerful shifts in perception, mood and consciousness. Strongest evidence to date for its applications in MAT includes for depression, and for depression, anxiety and existential distress in those facing a life-threatening illness. Psilocybin is not yet an approved medicine in Canada, and is therefore only available through Health Canada’s Special Access Program for people with treatment-resistant depression, and distress associated with a life-threatening illness. Psilocybin has been studied for a variety of other mental health conditions including obsessive-compulsive disorder and other anxiety disorders, and substance use disorders, however is currently not accessible as a medicine for these conditions unless they are life-threatening and all other treatments have been exhausted, and may therefore qualify through Special Access.
